New website for start of biggest year for Bethy Woodward

London 2012 Paralympics gold medal hopeful Bethy Woodward has kicked off the biggest year of her life with a new website that will record her bid to stand on top of the podium this summer.

The 19-year-old World Championship 400m Gold Medallist and 4 x 100m relay bronze medallist is training hard for the London 2012 Games as well as spending time as an ambassador for her sponsors.

The teenager, from Ringwood in Hampshire, has been training through the autumn at the Team GB Olympics training venue at Lee Valley in north London.

“This is going to be an amazing year for British athletics and I want to make sure that it is an amazing year for me personally as well,” said Bethy.

“I hope people will keep coming to my site to see how we are progressing towards the London 2012 Games and to show their support. It is really important to all of us who get the chance to represent the country to know that people are right behind us.”

Bethy is the T37 400m World Champion after taking gold at the IPC Athletics World Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand, last January. She was also a bronze medallist in the T35-38 4 x 100m relay at the same championships.

The new website will contain regular updates on Bethy’s training regime, her media appearances and the work she is doing with her sponsors. It will also provide a platform for those companies that want to back British success at the Games this summer by sponsoring Bethy through her training.

Any companies that are interested in using Bethy for a one-off event or a longer term commitment is urged to get in touch using the contact form on each page.
